REPRODUCTION
All beetles are different, some have cross pincers and others have horned pincers. These traits are determined by the genes that are received from their parents. For example if a beetle had horned pincers that means it has the homozygous recessive gene for horns; rr. But if the beetle had cross pincers it would have either the gene RR or Rr.
This is a punnet square, it will show the probabilites of offspring. In this punnet square I will be breeding a heterozygous and a homozygous recessive pincer gene beetle.

In my second example I will be showing Incomplete dominance. Incomplete dominance is when a beetle has stripes of a different color than it's body present. The next punnet square will be showing the probabilities of offspring of 2 heterozygous beetles with stripes.
Some traits are sex linked too, such as body color of a beetle. In the next punnet square I will demonstrate the probabilities of offspring from a 2 dull beetles.
